ENGLISH LANGUAGE ACADEMY REFUND POLICY
 

REFUND POLICY (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY) ENROLMENT AND ACCOMMODATION PLACEMENT FEES Enrolment and Homestay Placement Fees are non-refundable. HOMESTAY/HOSTEL FEES If written cancellation is received within 14 days prior to your arrival at the Homestay/Hostel or other accommodation a cancellation fee of 50% will still be applied. If you cancel your accommodation request once you are in your accommodation, a minimum of two weeks’ rent is to be paid. You must give at least two weeks’ notice if you wish to change your accommodation. Student flight details must be received to begin the placement process. Once flight details are received, the accommodation placement service may take up to 10 working days. AIRPORT PICKUP FEES If written cancellation is received 7 days prior to airport pickup a cancellation fee of 50% will still be applied. If your airline flight details change, please give us as much notice as possible. If you give us less than 24 hours notice, you will incur another airport transfer fee. From the time your flight lands the airport pick service is only valid for one hour and 30 minutes. You will find your pick up agent beside the DAA  Information Desk in the Arrivals Hall of Dublin Airport. He/she will have a card saying “ENGLISH LANGUAGE ACADEMY-ELA” and your name. The School is not responsible for transfers after this time (1 hr 30mins) elapses.

TUITION FEES

No refund will be given if you cancel your Course on or after the date of commencement or if your student visa is granted. All ELA Courses are non-transferable and non-refundable. If you make changes to your Course after you have started, you are required to provide a minimum of 4 weeks notice (ie. transfers, deferrals or early course completions). If the required visa is not granted, a full refund of tuition fees will be made less 20% for administration purposes, provided that sufficient evidence of visa refusal is given to English Language Academy by the refusing Authority. If the College receives written notice of cancellation of enrolment 28 days prior to the course commencement, a full refund of tuition fees will be paid. If the college receives written notice of cancellation less than 28 days prior to the course commencement, a refund of 75% of tuition fees will be paid. Once the Course commences or the visa is granted, fees are non- refundable. Applications for refunds must be sent in writing to: The Director of Studies, English Language Academy (ELA) 21, Fairview, Dublin 3, or via email to info@elaireland.com. The process normally takes 28 days.

GENERAL Any specials applied to the original enrolment will take place at the end of the course. If, due to exceptional circumstances, such as serious illness or bereavement, a study credit for study weeks is granted, it will include only paid weeks remaining and will be valid for a period of 6 months from the date of issue. English Language Academy will not accept students under the age of 16 years of age (except on a Junior Summer School Programme). 

INFORMATION DISCLAIMER The Law requires student visa holders to inform English Language  Academy of any change of address within 7 days and other changes thereafter. Student details may be made available to the Irish Garda National Immigration Bureau (G.N.I.B.) 

(i) certain changes to the student’s enrolment 

(ii) any breach by the student of a student visa condition relating to attendance. 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS (please read carefully) 

  • I have read and understand the terms of English Language Academys Refund Policy. 
  • I understand that I will be tested on or before the commencement of my course, and placed in an appropriate English language level. 
  • I understand that I must complete all class work, assignments, activities and assessments in order to maintain satisfactory progress. 
  • I understand that I must attend at least 85% of my English course, and that if I fail to do so, I may be reported to the G.N.I.B. 
  • I understand that I must inform English Language Academy immediately if I change my address. 
  • I understand that I cannot change my school during the Course without a written letter of release from English Language    Academy. 
  • I agree to abide by the Rules  and Regulations of English Language Academy
  • I understand that my personal information may be shared with the GNIB. This information may include personal and contact details, course enrolment details and changes, and circumstances of any suspected breach by the student of a student visa condition. 
  • I agree that English Language Academy can share information about my Course and my progress with my recruiting agent and immigration agents as required. 
  • I acknowledge that English Language Academy has the right to change its fees and conditions, cancel or defer courses, and to alter course timetables and class locations at any time without notice.
